Dad had a TEE at 430 today at St Anthonys while the good news so far is its not the pacemaker however it is very serious. the infection is in his mitral valve and has been transferred to St Johns in Springfield we got here about 10pm tonight. He also from his fall has kidney problems called Rhabdomyolysis the MD said this was the least of our worries at this time. there will be 3 drs on his case from now on. cardiologist, infection control md and cardio thoracic surgeon. first they feel he is going to need a cardiac cath to see if the valve is blocked or if any of the infection is hanging which could mean it could move and if that happens there is a risk of stroke and heart attack. will know more tomorrow after the 3 get together and do the cath. This is very serious so all the prayers will be accepted!!!!!! I drove my mom up and then my sister and niece,and my nieces husband came up. Dad is finally asleep but they keep coming in and waking him up. I will be here for the weekend it looks like.
