Dad really bad with his Parkinsons. The new electric beds arrived yesterday having been ordered on 26th August and a delivery promised the Thurs before last, delivery was changed to last Tuesday so Pam was having to sleep on a deep mattress on the floor as we cant even get her on the stair lift now. So Tuesday the company rang to say the delivery vehicle couldnt get up our lane. As we get 20 ton grain trucks up here,i asked what the hell size truck it took to deliver 2 single beds? So Pam was still on the floor. They said they would ring back later that day to arrange another date. Thursday came and still no call. I rang Betterlife at Lloyds Pharmacy and told them if they werent here by Friday i would cancel the order. They rang back to say the manufacturer who was to deliver, could only do it on Sunday. Great. Kay and Fred and Tinas day off. Said i had to stay in to take delivery as beds would be installed. Yesterday they turned up and said doorstep delivery only and they hadnt public liability to go inside peoples houses. Thankfully they did put them inside our front porch but even so. Fred and Tina helped me get one bed sorted but Dad got himself in such a stew about it all that it greatly affects his Parkinsons. And Pam was sick again during the night. Thank God i have Fred and Tina. Only thing is Tina had a really awful cold last week. Now Ive got it coming too! Kay is on holiday again next week too. Oh to have a holiday myself! No chance this year. Just too much to do still to keep everything running here as lost so much work with 3 months out with Pam in hospital :-( Have pencilled in a week for myself in May next year, hopefully in Portugal. Thats the problem with running your own business especially with animals. Holidays are only for employees!!
