Dad said a good friend of his, and mine, Mr. MC Halstead had sent him a message for me to come by the house because he had something for me. Mr MC fished with us for many years on the Avalon Fishing Pier. Last year he gave me all of his live baiting rods and reels and tackle. I was so proud to have his Avet Reel with the custom rod for live baiting, and I caught my first Pier Cobia with the reel and rod just last week. I treasure each rod and reel he entrusted to me knowing he used them, and he entrusted them in my care. Today when we arrived at MCs house, he rolled out his Pier Cart and told me he was giving it to me. I was stoked and excited for SURE!! Anybody that fished from Kitty Hawk Pier to Fishing Unlimited knows that cart. It was custom made in Wanchese at a fabrication shop. Steve Harris, who was the first owner, had it made. Mr. MC Halstead was the second owner, and it has now passed to me. I am honored to call this Pier Cart mine!! The cart is made from Stainless Steel and was fabricated with everything heavy duty.
