Daddy hasnt had any Ativan since 9am this morning...bc they are trying to get him off the sedation to hopefully help the respiratory distress and help him start breathing on his own. He is still on bipap bc he cant breath on his own. He does have signs of brain activity from EEG results, which shows me some hope. It is a good bit slower then a normal person but they will have to determine if thats related to sedation or a possible infection of the brain. They have started him on both IV vancomycin and rocephin for infections. They cant determine if he does have brain infection yet bc he isnt stable enough for MRI and his INR is too high for a spinal tap. He is starting to jerk n have tremors from not getting ativan, but they are hoping at this point it isnt seizure activity its more related to kidney failure and from being off his neurotin for several days. He did open his eyes for just a second n moved his eyes. It was for a just a second, but its still happened. He also squeezed my hand and made a noise, but was unable to actually talk. He fell right back asleep. Its not much, but its definitely showing me he has brain activity...and some type of response is a baby step. He is very weak, tired , and in very critical care condition still. Please continue to pray hard for him, its all in Gods hands! I absolutely refuse to give up. My daddy is s strong man and fighter.
