Daily Announcements 11-4-13 Happy Monday! Yearbook: Attention All 8th Graders who are interested in becoming a part of the yearbook committee: Please fill out the application and return it to Mrs. ONeill no later than FRIDAY Nov 15th. The application is at the front office. We will be meeting every Thursday from 2:45-3:45 starting in December through March. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. ONeill. Weightlifting Club: Attention 7th and 8th grade students interested in lifting weights: Mr Hilgert is starting an after school weightlifting club which will meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting on November 5th. The club will meet in Mr. Hilgerts room and will last from 2:45pm to 4:15pm. Be sure you have a ride home no later than 4:15. You will need tennis shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt. See Mr. Hilgert if you have any questions. Academic Superbowl: Attention all 6th, 7th, or 8th graders: Do you like to be challenged academically? Do you enjoy a little healthy competition? Do you feel that if you went on the show Jeopardy, that you would win? Then we have the club for you. On Thursday November 7th, there will be a call out meeting for Academic Superbowl from 2:45 to 3:30 pm in Mr. Hilgerts room. Academic Superbowl will test your knowledge in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. In competing against over 40 schools across the state last year, the fantastic TCMS Academic Superbowl team finished the year ranked 4th in Math, 9th in English, and was the 8th ranked team overall in the entire state. We look to improve on those rankings, but we need the best and brightest TCMS has to offer to come join in the fun. Again, the callout meeting will be Thursday, November 7th from 2:45 to 3:30. See Mr. Hilgert if you have any questions. Winterguard: The Triton Central Winter Guard is having open auditions for anyone interested in joining the award winning team this winter season. Auditions begin Tuesday, November 5th. Please see Ms. Parker for additional information. Attention 7th & 8th Grade Girls: Are you friendly and kind? Do you like to make others smile? Do you spread sunshine wherever you go? If this sounds like you, then we’d like to be a part of the Sunshine Society here at TCMS!! The club sponsor, Mrs. Hutchinson, and co-presidents Maliyah Scott and Abby Keeton, would like to invite you to attend the 1st meeting after school on Wednesday, November 6 until 3:15. Please see Mrs. Hutchinson, Maliyah or Abby for more information. Canned Food Drive: Now thru November 13th, TCMS will be collecting cans for our Canned Food Drive. Students please take your cans to the following teachers: 8th Grade – Mrs. Diehl 7th Grade – Mr. Stone 6th Grade – Mrs. Hart 5th Grade – Mrs. Sego We have lots of jackets in the lost and found. Please come to the office and see if you have any missing items. Cheerleaders: Cheer practice in on Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5pm.
