Daily Blessings Devotional Colette Toach "Breathe It In" Psalms 63:1 and 2- O God, thou are my God; early will I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see your power and your glory, so as I have seen you in the sanctuary. Are you tired of fighting today? Are you tired of walking avery hard, dusty road? Perhaps you are walking along with the sun beating down, and the more you push yourself, the tougher it just seems to get. I know how it is when the enemy keeps coming and coming, and even as you hold on for dear life everything you have believed for falls apart. You cry asking, "Lord where are you?" You have exercised your faith and trusted, pushed through, not given up! Perhaps today you are dry. You have just given so much of yourself you cannot go on anymore. You are discouraged, thinking you have failed. Thinking that perhaps you could have done something more. And as you look around, the land looks so dry and your prayer for rain gets stuck in your throat. In despair you lower your head and fall to the ground. Today I want to encourage you. I want you to know that as you have pushed through the clouds have indeed gathered, and even though all you see is the scorching sun, you have indeed done well and your Heavenly Father is so proud of you. Sit today and rest awhile. Let your arms down from the fight for a while, because the work is done, the land is yours. The solution now lies in your trust of Jesus. As you let down your arms and rest in His grace, the rain will fall. It will fall and cover the ground. It will enter your spirit and soul with such power, you will not be able to contain it. It is okay to let the tears go and to fall, because as you do that, the Lord will be there to pick you up. Lift up your eyes to the sky and see that the rain is coming. Your Father has not forgotten you and He has seen your pain. Give it all to Him now and open your heart to His oil of love. It is there for you right now and there is nothing you need do to receive it than to just rest in Him, to give up your struggle and to give up your striving. Take a deep breath, let the knot in the middle of your stomach go and breathe in His life and power. It is there for you and He will not deny you. Rest and rejoice. Your salvation is at hand!
