Daily Bread: “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none - TopicsExpress

Daily Bread: “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:5-15. O beautiful Trinity! The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!! We see here from the words of Jesus Christ, that He has given us the Helper, the Holy Spirit and what is important is the role that He plays here in this world. He, the Spirit, convicts the world of sin. Just as we read in John 3, this is why, For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (John 3:20-21). Sin hates Holiness. Darkness hates the light. That is why in the world that we live in today, tolerance is shouted from the mountain tops. No one wants to call sin a sin, no one wants to say that there is a truth but rather that truth is relative. There is no absolute. This is absolutely blasphemous and why the Holy Spirit convicts that world of sin from it supposed righteousness, because in reality it is not. As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10-12). The Holy Spirit judges with a righteous judgement because as it says in John 3:18, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is CONDEMNED ALREADY, because he has NOT believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18). Now, as believers and born again children of God, we have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, and He guides us and leads us into all truth. He does not speak on His own authority, but speaks what He hears from the Son. Those things which are the Fathers are also the Sons, and thus there is such a perfection of unity in them in which we can stand. The love of the Father, the perfect sacrifice of the Son, and the power and promise of the Spirit. Faithers, we can stand on the Truth of God. His word is truth (John 17:17). God cannot contradict Himself or lie. (Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2). We must measure everything in the light of Scriptures! We must stand for the truth uncompromisingly! What is unfortunately more true as each day passes in this wicked word was put beautifully by our late Brother Leonard Ravenhill, “If Jesus had preached the same message that ministers preach today, He would never have been crucified.” Faithers, let us be like those whose voice trumpeted in Revelation and whose testimony was this, And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Revelation 12:11). Have a blessed day!!! SOLI DEO GLORIA!!! -#FAITHFIVE!!!!!
