Daily Comic Book Force Update: DC has finally cast who will be - TopicsExpress

Daily Comic Book Force Update: DC has finally cast who will be Amanda Waller in 2016s Suicide Squad. The actress is Viola Davis, who has appeared in Prisoners and The Help. She was among those eyed for the role when the cast was announced officially earlier this year, with Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer also said to be in the running at the time. However, she has now joined the already amazing cast which includes the likes of Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Tom Hardy as Rick Flag and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The only possible issue is her TV schedule as stars in How To Get Away With Murder but they will more than likely find a way to work around that. What are your thoughts on the casting though? Feel free to leave some of your comments below. Also, new stills from episode 11 of Gotham, titled Rogues Galley have been released. The basic synopsis of the episode involves Gordon being sent on an assignment to Arkham Asylum when a guard is murdered. An investigation takes place and Gordon meets Dr. Leslie Thompson (played by Morena Baccarin from Homeland). In the meantime, Oswald Cobblepot is building his criminal army back in Gotham City. Now, these stills arent really much to be impressed by but one particular picture intrigued me. It shows Mario Peppers daughter, Ivy Pepper, together with Selina Kyle, who we all know grows up to be Catwoman. This is definitely a hint to the title Rogues Gallery as were seeing two of Batmans greatest villains together (Poison Ivy and Catwoman). It will also be most interesting to see the interaction between Ivy and Selina. Finally, in Marvel news, apparently Hawkeye could be appearing in Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. A recent Facebook post by Clark Gregg, who plays Director Phil Coulson on Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has many wondering if Hawkeye could be joining the team for a few episodes or perhaps even facing them? The caption-less post only contained one picture, which was of Hawkeye facing off against Phil Coulson (both are aiming at each other) and its from a comic book. Now I dont know what comic book that is from and of course this could mean nothing but given that they are about to shoot one another, could Gregg be hinting at a confrontation between the two? What could possibly bring the two to blows? Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner recently talked to Reddit about appearing on the show, saying, I suppose if it was offered up, theres an outside chance it could happen. I havent seen the show, so I dont know how it works, but Im sure the folks at Marvel have ideas, and when theyre strong enough, theyll bring em to me. But I love me some Clark Gregg, hes so great. We killed him and brought him back to life to do Agents of SHIELD, hes so good! I think wed all love to see Hawkeye on the show, and itd be fun to see how his dynamic with Adrianne Palickis Mockingbird plays out (especially since in the comics, they were once married). If I were a betting man, though, Id place my money on Hawkeye not showing up until after the Avengers: Age of Ultron tie-in. The Avengers have to find out Coulson is alive at some point, right (?) and it would make the most sense for them all to find out at one time.
