Daily Devotion from WM Ministries, 09/21/13 Snap, Crackle, Pop Luke 16:19-31 Yesterday, I wrote about Frosted Flakes. I had a tremendous amount of positive feed back. Therefore, today I would like to use another breakfast cereal by way of illustration. Rice Crispies is another popular breakfast cereal. One of the reasons is the sound they make. Their familiar, "Snap, Crackle, Pop" sound, has become a slogan for them. It reminds me of a burning fire. As a the wood on the fire burns, it makes a similar "Snap, Crackle, Pop sound. The Word of God speaks of an eternal fire. It is the eternal dwelling place for all who reject Jesus Christ as their Personal Lord and Savior. This place is commonly referred to as Hell. Those who die without choosing to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, have chosen to spend their eternity there. If you were to draw your last breathe right now, where would you spend eternity? Would you spend in Heaven in the presence of the Lord because you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Or, will you spend it in Hell in the "Snap, Crackle, Pop, of an eternal flame? What does this passage reveal about God? What does this passage reveal about me? Based on this, what changes do I need to make? What is my prayer for today?
