Daily Devotional Soap Box Day 7: God, thank you for today. Thank you for the two weirdos in our life. Were really blessed to be able to call them frands. Please help me stay focused on why you had me start this journey. I know its already making me grow closer to you, but Im still not where you want me to be. I ache so bad to be near you. Im just struggling to get over this hurdle. But Im trying. God, help me put you first. Help me hear you and know its you. Help me become a better person. In your name I pray, amen. Im gonna be honest, I still havent really heard from Him yet. And Im trying really had to have patience and be still and just wait for Him to talk to me. But its so easy to be distracted. Ill even stoop so low and get on Pinterest to look at different bible verses, just to see if I hear anything. I have gotten ideas to spread the word of God in different ways. Maybe thats what God wanted me to learn? I dont know. I dont think thats it. I know Im capable of greater things, because God created me. And He expects more than what Ive been offering Him. I just feel like Ive kept Him on the back burner so long, that Im calling for Him but Im too late. But one of the things on Pinterest gave a list of sinners throughout the bible and their sin, at the end of the list it said God still used them. So I know, Im still useable. Here I am God, asking for help, hoping that Youll speak to me, and I hear You and know without a doubt it is You and not just my mind. So, until I hear something, Ill just ramble. 1 Peter 5:8-11 Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, stand firm in faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. Acts 14:22 Strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. We must go though many hardships to enter the kingdom of God. 2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. youtu.be/LuvfMDhTyMA
