Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: DraftKings Rankings, Picks for Tuesday, Jan. 27: Expectations can skew your results in daily fantasy, much like winter storm Juno hype came out as a big disappointment. All it did was give most of the Northeast a reason to stock up on groceries and have another peaceful Christmas-like morning. Lets fire up another edition of Bleacher Reports daily fantasy review of DraftKings buys for Tuesday nights manageable six-game slate. You want some heat amid the winter freeze? Lets cuddle up with the red-hot Klay Thompson, who is back in action for us as the Golden State Warriors play host to the Chicago Bulls and a night-leading Las Vegas total of 211, per Odds Shark. That game looks like the stacking tilt of the night. PG D.J. Augustin, Detroit Pistons ($5,800) Sure, it might seem like one game too late here on Augustin, who has taken over as the starting point guard with Brandon Jennings (Achilles) out, but Augustin is still a good buy at this beefed-up price because of the minutes he figures to get. Augustin told NBAs Keith Langlois: Im going to continue to try to attack and be aggressive and find my teammates, too. Thats what coach wants me to do. ... Being out there more minutes and in the starting lineup, you get more shots. I think being in the starting lineup, I will get more open threes and Im going to continue to try to take them and just keep trying to get better. Head coach Stan Van Gundy is expecting his shooting accuracy to improve, along with the minutes too, as he told Langlois: I would expect him to at some point, regardless of the minutes. I think that guys go through whatever they go through, but generally they come back to why they are. I do think he knows hes going to get more minutes and theres not that pressure that, Ive got to get on a run to stay in the game. Im probably going to play. That can produce some confidence, so hopefully hell shoot the ball a little better. It also helps the Cleveland Cavaliers at 19th against fantasy point guards, per DraftKings. At least one-third (33 percent) of lineups will have Augustin in it at his price. * Beno Udrih, Memphis Grizzlies ($3,500) * John Wall, Washington Wizards ($9,200) SG Monta Ellis, Dallas Mavericks ($7,100) Like the Udrih selection above, Ellis figures to get a bit of a boost with Mike Conley (wrist) potentially out Tuesday night. Conley is a wait and see, per Ari Alexander of WMC-5 TV in Memphis. Regardless of Conleys status to start, he wouldnt be at 100 percent, and Memphis will be a bit thin in the backcourt. That should open things up nicely for Ellis, who is coming off his big performance Sunday. Ellis is hot, shooting nearly 60 percent (16-27) last time out. He is a better bargain than the scorching Thompson, who is going to draw added attention and doesnt fill the stat sheet outside of scoring baskets. * Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors ($8,000) * J.R. Smith, Cleveland Cavaliers ($5,000) SF Loul Deng, Miami Heat ($5,900) Dengs production has crushed his price in three of his past four outings, and he is drawing the 30th-ranked team against small forwards at DraftKings. Deng is coming off a double-double and even if he doesnt score 20 points, he can reach 40-plus fantasy points with rebounds and assists. * Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks ($4,900) * Paul Pierce, Washington Wizards ($4,700) PF Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks ($6,400) Not only is the veteran playing a lot better in January after a slow December, but he is facing the Grizzlies, who are 26th against power forwards at DraftKings. We should expect a steady 20-8 performance and as many as 40 fantasy points. His price is still down from his poor December numbers. * Pau Gasol, Chicago Bulls ($9,200) * Tristan Thompson, Cleveland Cavaliers ($6,000) C Andrew Bogut, Golden State Warriors ($4,700) He helped us cash last time out with his 13-13 against the Boston Celtics, and he draws the 29th-ranked Chicago Bulls against fantasy centers at DraftKings. The good news is Bogut is looking healthier after his absence due to his knee injury. He is still underpriced at this point. Line him up. * Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto Raptors ($5,900) * Roy Hibbert, Indiana Pacers ($5,800) Eric Mack, one of the giants among fantasy writers, is the Fantasy Football Lead Writer for Bleacher Report.
