Daily Inspiration - GIVE AWAY THREE COMPLIMENTS Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 KJV Each day, give away 3 compliments to 3 different people. You will give compliments to people you know, and people you have just met. A practice of gratitude involves being grateful for other people, and telling them so. We are going beyond just saying thank you, to giving compliments. Compliments often surprise the recipient. And compliments leave an afterglow of warmth, both in the giver, and the receiver. A good life is made up of the accumulation of days. How we live those days often requires practice, to form new habits. Some of the habits formed over a lifetime repel friendship and closeness of others. Learned habits and training can turn this around, making us the type of person that makes others feel good in our presence. I have often heard it said, that people do not fall in love with you, they fall in love with the way THEY FEEL when they are with you. The compliments you will give away are not faked, they are sincere. You are not doing Gods will by giving away cookie-cutter insincere compliments, for they have little effect. Compliments do not contain corrections. You are not saying, You are pretty BUT you would look prettier if you did this. That is not a compliment, it is a correction, or opinion. You will look beyond the outer face, or form, often complementing a persons character. Complements are always true, positive, and uplifting. God will give you the words, and you will do Gods Will by delivering them.
