Daily NWS Threat Brief for Friday, July 26, 2013 for FEMA Region 6 Friday •Flash Flood Watches for portions of Central/Eastern OK into Western Arkansas and also for portions of Southwest NM into Far West TX •Strong to possibly severe thunderstorms for North Central Texas into the Arklatex region –Isolated damaging winds/hail and heavy rain/flooding Saturday - Sunday •Heavy Rain/Flash Flood threat continues over portions of NM and Far West TX through the weekend Monday - Tuesday •No Discernible Weather Threats Tropical Outlook •Tropical Storm Dorian has weakened slightly since yesterday evening ; however, Dorian is still expected to remain tropical storm force strength the next 5 days and is forecast to approach Puerto Rico by early next week •See slide 7 in attached briefing for more details on Dorian! •Besides Dorian, there is no other tropical activity expected over the Atlantic Basin for the next few days
