Daily Prayer Break: Saturday, January 25, 2014 (the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul) We invite you to take 3 minutes and spend some time in prayer with us. Pause, Read, Reflect… Pause: Take a moment to center yourself. Focus on your breath. As you breathe, call to mind the challenges of the past week -- great or small. Think of the ones you overcame. Recognize God’s hand in the everyday. Read: Our Gospel today: MK 16:15-18 Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. They will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Reflect: 1) What is God speaking to me about through this Gospel? 2) In what ways am I answering Jesus’ call to “proclaim the Gospel to every creature?” Final prayer: Lord my God, St. Paul responded to your call, changed his life and spread your message to the world. Grant us the courage to do the same. St. Paul, pray for us. -Amen. Even online, we are a community -- a family -- united through prayer. Thank you for taking this time to pray with us.
