Daily Prayer Break: Thursday, December 25, 2014 (Christmas Day – Mass at Dawn) We invite you to take 3 minutes in prayer with us. Pause, Read, Reflect… Pause: Take a moment to center yourself. Focus on your breath. As you breathe in, invite God in -- His love, His goodness and all the gifts He has given you this day. As you breathe out, allow your stress, struggles, worries, anxieties and all things not rooted in God’s love to leave your body with each breath. (Repeat as needed) Read: Our Gospel today: LK 2:15-20 When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.” So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them. Reflect: 1) What is God speaking to me about through this Gospel? 2) What is the best gift I have ever been given? Final prayer: Lord my God, thank you for all the gifts you have given me in my life, especially the gift of You. -Amen. Even online, we are a community -- a family -- united through prayer. Thank you for taking this time to pray with us. Feel free to share your prayer requests, thoughts, insights and joyful thanksgivings with us by commenting on this post. Together, we support each other on our journey.
