Daily Proverb; His wisdom, His understanding and not our own: Proverbs 11 (KJV) 1. A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. Let us not have favor with one another but be just and fair with all as our Lord surely does. Let us be true and not deceive or lie and seek to right where we have wronged. 2. When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. May we seek after humility and welcome criticism, even to be humbled by our great God, for it is then that we increase with Him and His will. 8. The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. God will see us through, but the wicked will reap as they sow. 12. He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbor: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. In silence we receive Godly instruction and understanding, in applying it we increase in wisdom. 13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. By this we can know ourselves and our truest of friends; by our fruits we will be known. 22. As a jewel of gold in a swines snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. Beauty is surely not skin deep, it is not merely physical. By ones character inner beauty can magnify the outer beyond measure. 24. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. 25. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. When we share what God has given we shall increase with blessings to overflow. However, by withholding for ourselves we do not show the love of Christ and rob ourselves of the blessings He wants to give us. 27. He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. We reap as we sow, what do we sow? We sow with every word we speak and every action we take. 29. He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. May we let go and let God, for surely our own will brings deceit and destruction. Let us remember that some of the worst things imaginable have been done with the best of intentions. Our Daily Promise; that we may rest in His truth, in His word and know victory through diligence to Him: Isaiah 26:3 (KJV) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee: Where has our God promised and not been true? In all things great and small let us trust in Him! A Daily Dose; that we should be filled to overflow with what is good and pure of our great God in heaven: 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (KJV) But he that glorifieth, let him glory in the Lord. 18. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. Psalm 62:2 (KJV) He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. By His strength there is nothing that cannot be accomplished or overcome for He is our mighty God.
