Daily Reading 2014 10/14/14 October 14 The Last Church Service! (Matthew 24:37-42) I. What Is The Church? A. She is an organism, not an organization. (Acts 2:47) B. She is the Body of Christ. (Colossians 1:18) And he is thehead of the body, the church who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminance. C. She is founded upon the Rock. (Matthew 16:18) And I say also unto you that thou art Peter, upon this rock will I build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. D. She is the bride of Christ. (Revelation 21:9) And there came unto me one of the seven angels, which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lambs wife. II. Who Belongs To The Church? Those who are saved. (John 3:7) Marvel not, that I say unto you that ye must be born again. (Acts 16:31) Things that will not get you to heaven. Water Baptism. 2. Church membership. 3. Someone elses salvation. III. The Doctrine That Will Stand. A. Post-Millennialism. (better and better until Christ can come) B. A-Millennialism. (no 1000 year reign. all judged together.) C. Pre-Millennialism. (rapture before Millennium.) IV. The Church At The Return. A. The Rapture. (I Thes.4:13-17) 1. It is Secret. 2. It is Sudden. 3. It is Selective. 4. It is Satisfying. B. The Results. 1. Some services will not be disturbed. 2. Some services will be disturbed. V. Where Will You Be At This Service? A. Some will leave. B. Some will be left. C. What to do. 1. Realize that you are lost. (Romans 3:23) 2. Repent of your sins. (Luke 13:3&5) 3. Receive Christ as your personal Saviour. 4. Report or confess Christ as Saviour. (Romans 10:9,10) BE READY TO GO TO HEAVENS BRIGHT SHORE!
