#DailyWord - April 26th Philippians 2:12-16 ...Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a peverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life... -------------------------- This passage asks us to consider how we live as a result of being saved. An apathy can so easily set in where the title Christian or our church name or the doctrine we follow mean more to us than our personal living with Jesus. Two simple keys to avoid these pitfalls: 1) Have a healthy awe for God: Our Father is our king and master too. He who judges the hearts of men is our savior. Our salvation is not cheap and our master will return soon and ask us what we did with our talent. 2) Hold fast to the Word of God: Another version says holding out. We must practice keeping the Word in front of us as we head into life. Let His word inform your living. Let us run the race set before us with endurance and zeal for Jesus.
