Daisy and I spent most of our weekend getting out, setting up and hooking up our Christmas decorations. Every year, at least for the last couple, I have said that I am not getting out the ladder and putting the lights up around the roof, which is rather high in areas. Yet, each year, like this one, I get it out and up I go. Who knows, maybe this really be the last year though. While, I cant say I enjoy putting everything up, I have to admit, old McScrooge (me) sort of gets into the Christmas spirit every year. We got most of the stuff up outside, as well as the tree and a few items in the house, but honestly I am not sure we have even got 50% of everything up. I admit it sort of made me feel good when Daisy went into the garage and looked at the remaining items and remarked that she was not sure she wanted to put up anymore of it. I am sure she will get up today though and say, well lets get started putting up the rest of it. We did buy a few new display items to put up this year, but we also put up some old decorations that we have not used in several years. I like to grill and eat my steaks somewhere between rare and medium rare, but Daisy wants her steaks well done, no red showing. I personally think that if you cook a steak too well done, it lacks that sweet taste of the meat. Cookng a steak to suit Daisy is really hard for me, to get it well done but not overcooked either. Somehow, yesterday I managed to cook us both steaks that suited us both well though. Every once in awhile, a guy just gets lucky. The last couple of days, we have had some really beautiful weather and are suppose to have nice weather for a few more days. It is days like this that make me happy to call myself a Floridian.
