Daisy, my nearly 13 yr old lab, is very hard of hearing and has cataracts. She doesnt get around all that well, even with pain medication. We recently added a bedtime dose of Tramadol to help her sleep; she gets this in cheese. Since the addition of this dose, she pesters the heck out of us every night because she wants the cheese. She never was a barker but shes started this as well. After her dose she frequently returns to the fridge for more (her memory must be failing too-or is it?) and despite cataracts, she can pick the little pill out of her food in the morning and at dinner so well give her cheese then, too. I love her so much. In my book, she deserves all the cheese she wants.
