Here are some things that republicans have done during this period: • With millions out of work, the republican Congress refuses to pass the President’s Infrastructure Jobs Bill that would put millions to work immediately. • They wasted enormous time and money on 52 votes to repeal the ACA. • They caused a government shut-down that cost taxpayers $24 Billion. • They refused to eliminate oil subsidies while oil companies enjoy massive profits on an annual basis for 5 years now. Even Jimmy Carter had the good sense to initiate a Windfall tax when they began to rape the general public. • They refused to extend Earned Unemployment Benefits to 1.8 million families AT CHRISTMAS TIME AND HAVE CONTINUED TO REFUSE IT • They cut food stamps Billion of dollars that affected military families and their children yet allowed the clauses that granted rich republican farms grant money in the millions. • They passed a budget that targeted military pensions and refused to tax the elite. • They keep trying to hold the budget hostage by attempting to piece-meal the republican agenda as part of the budget ceiling. • They refused to close tax loopholes for elitist corporations and excessively rich individuals. A man (Warren Buffet) makes $37 million per day and pays less taxes than his secretary. • They refused to bring the Immigration Reform Bill up for vote despite passing by an overwhelming bipartisanship in the Senate. • They are responsible for the Congress being off the job 239 days in 2013. • They made an all-out assault on voting procedures throughout the country in efforts to rig election results to their favor. • They coordinate a states-wide assault on women’s health issues. Can you honestly say that you proudly support a political party that does this to our country? I can’t. I will no longer support the republican party until it cleans itself from the trash that is in Washington right now. Please share this info.
