Dale and Chelsea contacted us with several problem issue they were having with their 15 month old male GSD MAX. Max had such a high fear of meeting people that he would literally run and hide behind his owners whenever he met anyone. He also was very dog to dog aggressive. His aggressive behavior was triggered at the mere sight of another dog, with loud aggressive barking and lunging out to attack. Dale and Chelsea feared Max pull Chelsea down to the ground during walks due to his powerful pulling on the lead during walks. Happy to report Dale and Chelsea were very please with the progress we made with Max in 8 days of socializing Max with hundreds of people and over 50 different dogs. We started with one of our most stable dog then over numerous sessions worked up to 5 of our dogs. Thanks to the power of the pack Max soon realized he actually enjoyed being part of the pack. Shortly after that we move out into the real world and under supervision we exposed Max to as many other dogs as possible. For the fear of people, we started with our family members, as soon as we had numerous successes at our place again we move into the real world. Under our instructions we supervised individuals on how to ignore Max and let Max make the choice to approach them while he observed us having a calm conversation. We introduce ourselves to as many people as we could at the park, Lowes, Pet Smart and outside the local Harris Teeter. We flooding Max with positive exposures and he soon learned he could relax than he had no reason to fear other dogs or new people, once he worked through it, he started to enjoy getting out more and thats what Dale and Chelsea wanted for Max to calm and social in the real world.
