Dallas/Fort Worth [Sunday 12/14 12:10 pm] Showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. As I posted yesterday, significant instability is lacking and I do not expect widespread severe thunderstorms. However, low-level shear (0-1km aloft) and moisture convergence suggest the potential for a few marginally severe thunderstorms, with damaging winds the primary threat. The thunderstorms will end from west to east by late afternoon, and will be east of Dallas by 7 pm (if not sooner). This evening will be very nice in North Texas after the rain ends.
