Dallin Oaks just recently gave a talk at BYU-Idaho. Here is a legitimate question being asked of him... From a message board: My question to Elder Oaks is this: Elder Oaks, you maintain that religious freedom and the free exercise of religion is a fundamental human right. I agree with you. Will you publically stand up today and say you support the religious freedom and free exercise of those religions who support gay marriage and wish to, according to their religious tradition and doctrine, marry gay couples in their congregations? Will you support their rights to do this or does religious freedom only flow in one direction with religions that agree with yours on this important issue? If you will not support their religious freedom and publically stand for the right of those whom you disagree with then I can only call what you support religious tyranny not true religious freedom.
