Damages to #Hijaz Railway Line stations due to terrorism estimated at SYP 1.2 billion Jul 22, 2013 #Damascus, (#SANA) – Director General of the General Establishment of the Hijaz Railway Line, Hasanin Mohammad, said that damages caused by terrorist attacks on the Qadam and Daraa stations are estimated at SYP 1.2 billion. In a statement to SANA, Mohammad said that these damages were caused by the vandalism and burning of the Qadam station and terrorist bombing which targeted Daraa station, stressing that such crimes will not intimidate workers in the transport sector who are determined to rebuild and rehabilitate this sector. Direct damages to the transport sector due to terrorism are estimated at SYP 4 billion, 2.5 billion of which was in damages to the railway sector, while indirect damages to the sector are estimated at over SYP 13 billion. sana.sy/eng/24/2013/07/22/493615.htm
