Damian Jr. Gong Marley & Skrillex - Make it Bun Dem (Jamaica, 2012) Damian Marley is the youngest son of the late, great Bob Marley, and Marleys mistress, Cindy Breakspeare (a Canadian and Miss World 1976). Damian started his music carer at 13 and has gone on to win three Grammies for his reggae music. Skrillex is the undisputed leader of the dubstep movement (ya know, music that sounds like drills going off and Transformers having a knock-down, drag-out fight). I have mixed feelings about dubstep...I prefer it as an accent rather than an all-out sonic assault. When its good, its good though. Finally, the video revolves around a First-Nations American invoking the power of the Thunderbird for protection. I grew up with the myths of the Thunderbirds, courtesy of my parents, who were quite interested in Native culture (we had carvings, paintings, and books on all aspects of Native culture, both northern - Innu - and southern - Huron, Algonquin, etc.).
