Damians story (from one of our followers) Hello, my names is Damian and I live in Manchester in the UK. Im 34 years old and work in cosmeceuticals. I have always been a nervy type but last year my life turned upside down with the onset of anxiety attacks. Due to redundancy and a relationship breakdown and the fact I was ignoring my own health and mental state. I cannot tell you what the attacks were because as I recognised one, another would flash out of the blue and knock me for six. I wanted to give up. I wanted to throw in the towel and lock myself away. But I havent. Ive accosted that every day is a battle and a battle that has the advantage of attacking me without warning. My life recently is in a much better place, more stability and a loving environment. 5 days have passed with not a single attack! They have been the happiest 5 days of my life so far! Im back, the me I knew, the freedom i embraced was once more in my reach. Its been like heaven. Last night I had a slight wobble, but I could face it stronger than ever after this 5 day break. I dont know what caused it to subside, or raise its head last night. What I do know is it does get better. It may strike me, confuse me or upset me. But in the long run it will not win. I will. I have faith once more. Your page and its contributors has been a massive help. Knowing Im not alone. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful stories. My life, its getting better by the day xx
