Damn damn damn. I really liked him. He did some of his best work after he was old. He was great in Space Cowboys. He held his own with Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, and Donald Sutherland. And in the sequel to Lonesome Dove, The Streets of Laredo he played Captain Call. It was the roll created origionally so brilliantly by Tommy Lee Jones. And James Garners portrayal of Call was excellent. The scene in which he loses his temper at the corrupt sheriff is so well done. I consider Lonesome Dove a classic and The Streets of Laredo is just as good. His work on TV was fun and good. But it was not the same caliber as Space Cowboys and Streets of Laredo. That was top notch work. Adios Mr. Garner. Im going to miss you.
