Damn, what a night this was! Going to make this as short as possible while still giving some facts. Lana and I went out to dinner, and yes, had some wine etc, but nothing to excess. The place was really busy this evening, and so all the handicapped spots where taken, so, had to park about a football field away from the place. When we got there, my pain meds where in full force, but by the time we left, not so much! I do have trouble walking long distances, not only because of my bad back, but my peripheral neurapathy effects my balance a lot. My cane helps, but it isnt a total answer. It had also been raining lightly so the pavement was somewhat slippery. At any rate, we got almost to the car when I got dizzy and fell on my face. The next thing I remember was being in the back of an ambulance on my way to the emergence room. Lana tells me I was laying in a large pool of blood and snoring, well, that would be par for the course lol! Anyway I look like Frankenstein before his wounds healed. I have stitches above my left eye into my eyebrow and down from there, and also several more on my upper eyelid. A major contusion on my left cheek, and my nose doesnt exactly look good either. My new glasses are broken, my shirt and coat are covered in blood, and well, I think Ill just stop there. On the way home, many hours later, with Lana driving the XLR, which she has never driven before, she failed to realize that the head lights are automatic, and turned them off, and put the gear shift selector in the manual position so the car was locked into first gear. While Im trying to correct all of this from the passengers seat, Lana crossed lanes all on the right side of the road of course, but we got stopped for eratic driving. After an explanation there was no problem and on home we went. Dinner was excellent, but the after dinner entertainment we could have done without. Never a dull moment anymore lol!
