Dan Harris ABC News Correspondent and Author of 10% Happier is an interesting guy. He was never drawn to meditation, in fact, he only came upon his daily practice as a result of a panic attack on air that was triggered by drug use. Now hes a believer, and in this 3 minute video he talks about the neuroscience behind meditation and why someday it will be as common as taking a shower and brushing your teeth. Heres a stand out comment: There is a study out of Harvard that shows that short, daily doses of meditation can literally grow the grey matter in key areas of your brain having to do with self-awareness and compassion, and shrink the grey matter in the area associated with stress.
