As you can see from the emails attached he was plotting with Burlingtons mayor and city council BEFORE he was hired by Gun$ense. I wanted to connect with you regarding the ongoing gun control efforts in Vermont. Given the timeline for a potential vote on gun control legislation in the U.S. Senate, Organizing for Action barackobama/ is planning a national day of action on April 13th. (2013) We have a small crew of folks working on gun control in Vermont. They are mainly working on making calls to wavering U.S. Senators in other states, thanking the Vermont delegation and recruiting more volunteers in Vermont. Between what OFA is looking to do and what the team here in Vermont is enthusiastic about, we are thinking about organizing a candlelight vigil for Saturday the 13th. We think it would be outstanding to have Mayor Weinberger involved given his leadership on this issue. I think the idea would be to have the mayor as one of the keynote speakers along with a representative from Moms Demand Action and possibly a member of the delegation.
