Dana Bois, our Heartland Church Chief-of-Staff, identified from a resource, a set-of-questions she shared with us while we were in a prayerful posture, at our staff chapel service this morning. We closed our eyes and listened to each question, gave quiet, reflective thought to each-&-all-of-them, then we shared which particular question stirred each of us individually. I want to share a few of those questions with you, under the title, WE CAN GROW BY OUR QUESTIONS, AS WELL AS BY OUR ANSWERS: 1. What one decision would I make if I knew that I would not fail? 2. What one thing would I eliminate from my life, because it holds me back from reaching my full potential? 3 Am I on the path of something absolutely marvelous, or something absolutely mediocre? 4. If everyone in the USA were on my level of spirituality, would there be a revival in the land? 5. Does the devil know who I am? 6. Would I recognize Jesus, if I met him on the street? 7. What is my most prevailing thought? 8. What would a truly creative person to do in my situation? 9. What outside influences are causing me to be better or worse? 10. What is one thing that I can do for someone else who has no opportunity to repay me? Quite a set of questions, arent they? One of my yale profs said, Youre only as big as the questions you wrestle with! And some questions are so big, that it takes years and years into living, to identify arrive at some helpful answer/response. That is, some key questions in our lives need to remain open-ended, & for our maturing to truly happen, before we are ready to embrace the answer (s). Wouldnt it be great for a number of us to sit together in a sanctuary ( not a courtroom!), and prayerfully consider the questions I have posted above? Blessings, as you follow the Holy Spirits prompting within you, about one or more of these questions.
