Dana Brenklin Michael Jackson Fan Banned From Court after Taking a Picture By: Dana Brenklin A member of the audience and a Michael Jackson fan was banned Wednesday afternoon after inadvertently snapping a photo in the hallway near the courtroom where the Katherine Jackson VS AEG Live trial is being held. The fan’s cell phone was confiscated and the gentleman was told to return Thursday to either retrieve his phone or be disciplined for his actions. This incident is the latest in a few shenanigans going on near this trial. Last month two jurors were approached by a woman telling them “don’t award these people any money”, just last week, someone was seen taking a picture in the little window of the courtroom, apparently of the jurors. As a result of these actions, sheriff deputies have been on alert and patrolling the hallways near the courtroom and the windows of the courtroom have been blocked for the remainder of the trial. Rules have been in place all along, but now are being enforced, with sheriff’s deputy reading them and reminding everyone daily. There is no videotaping or picture taking in the hallway and that has always been strictly enforced, stopping fans from other countries and more. Judge Yvette Palazuelos will consult with another judge on how to handle this matter. Mrs. Jackson was in attendance today with Trent, but left during the afternoon break. She looked a little tired, but well. John Meglen was still being question by plaintiff’s counsel Brian Panish who continued to go over capacity seating in arenas and stadiums around the world, emails, doctors and what is and what isn’t appropriate behavior for concert promoters. Panish tells the witness that he was wrong when he said that no one goes to India and informs him that a few artist have performed there, (Beyonce, Shakira, Akon, etc.,), to which the witness says he didn’t mean no one, just that they have an underdeveloped concert market. The witness also tells us that Celine Dion is either as big as Michael Jackson or bigger. Meglen finally finishes and AEG lawyers call Dr. Alimorad Farshchian to the stand by way of video deposition and he is questioned about Michael Jackson’s dependency to Demerol and how he helped him with that. The doctor treated MJ for a dependency to Demerol with a Naltrexone implant from 2001 – 2003 and the last time he saw MJ was two days after he was arrested. He said MJ did not look well, but did not look like he was addicted to anything. Michael was acquitted of all 14 charges June 13, 2005. The trial continues.
