Dana just said I could start a Bible study at our house, and after I said that, she said, can I hostess in an apron and pearls? After I picked my chin up from the couch, I said, I thought youd never ask. Heres the deal. Every Friday night Aaron comes over when he can make it so we can sit around and watch Netflix. A host of others join us telepathically wherever they are. One of my friends has a standing order for thin crust, sausage, bacon, and light mushrooms and a Diet Coke loaded with Jack even though she hasnt been able to bodily attend a movie night ever. When we dont have Jack, I put cheap shit in it and tell her its Jack. She can tell FROM THERE. So, anyway, I think studying the Bible should be pizza in a relaxed atmosphere with a movie afterward, and not a THEME movie. Well watch what we want to watch because I know me. Weve met. We will have mind-blowing conversations because I will want to know why you think everything you think abut a particular scripture and I will hope that you will think I am interesting enough to listen to my opinion and then joke about whatever afterward to just blow off steam. I want to keep to the Scriptures in the Lectionary or BCP from the Sunday before the Friday we meet so that we can get Christine and/or Lisas impression first and use the group as a response. They both give me such spiritual food that it helps to have friends to talk about it.... not because you need it. I do.
