Summer Dance Program: with Ms. Joana NOTE: It is not a requirement for potential Jr Team, new and existing Sr Team members to enroll in the classes provided in the summer camps. However, it is highly recommended. Participation in the summer programs will have a major influence on determining a Jr or Sr team dance audition. Princess Camp: Provided for children 3 to 4 yrs July 7,8,9, and July 13,14,15 @ 5:30 to 6:30pm 6hrs total, $75 Class description: students will explore creative movement, and will be introduced to pre-ballet. Healthy snacks provided during a 10 min break. Dance Divas: Provided for children 5 to 7 yrs July 21,22,23 and July 28,29,30 @ 5:30 to 7pm 9hrs total, $115 Class description: Students will study ballet, for which the ballet portion will be themed each class, tap, and jazz. Healthy snacks provided during a 10 min break. Dance Theatre Camp: Provided for students 8 to 10 yrs August 4,5,6,7 @ 5 to 7pm 8hrs total, $96 Class description: introduction to the study of ballet technique, applying those techniques to jazz and lyrical. Students will explore creative ideas for a broadway musical scene, as well as learning various types of broadway musicals. Healthy snacks provided. Performance Workshop: Provided for students 11&up August 11,12,13,14 @ 6 to 8pm 8 hrs total, $96 Class description: dancers will partake in a modern dance technique class, and will learn to apply techniques of ballet to all dance forms. This class will have an enfaces on pirouette practice and other technical turns as well as practicing various leaps across the floor. Healthy snacks provided. Summer Ballet Intensives: with Mrs. Amanda Short Excited to get back to the basics and refocus on technique this summer! Ballet II: Dates: June 30-July 3 Time: 5pm - 6pm $45 Ballet III: Dates: June 30- July 3 Time: 6p- 8p $80 (or $60 with the 6wk class) 6 week class: Dates: Thursdays June 26- July 31 Time: 6p-8p $120 2014/15 H&S Upcoming Events: Summer Schedule for Jr & Sr teams July 28th @ 7pm Parent/ Student meeting about upcoming events for dance teams, performances and competitions. Classes begin for Jr & Sr Dance Teams in August. •Jr Team: Aug. 18 &20, and August 25 & 27 from 5:30 - 7pm • Sr Team: Aug. 18&20, and Aug. 25 & 27 from 7pm - 8:30 Dance team fee is $41 monthly *Jr team: 8 to 11 yr olds and Sr team 12 yrs and up H&S Dance school year will begin Sept. 8th.
