Dang it, I hate that the hail hit so many on yesterday but glad they got the rain. You know, I love rain storms but dread the coming hail storms when this drought breaks. As I have told so many, its not a question of if its coming, but instead, when it gets here. The tin roof of our jail still shows the scars of a fast moving mid afternoon thunderstorm that hit us in about 1986. When I got home from a short trip, the results were obvious. At one spot on the eves of the tin roof, it appeared that a sledge hammer had hit the roof and actually bent it down. A baseball sized hole was through the sky light with the hail stone still on the floor. Like I say, its not if, but when it comes, and I dread it.
