Dangerous Games A black cord was fixed across Eastcourt Road near Fir Green Lane / Wolfhall Road. It was fixed to a tree on the bank and to something buried in the ground on the opposite side of the road It has been detached but please be very wary if you are out cycling or using a motorbike If you have children and they may be old enough to try this prank, PLEASE tell them it could have catastrophic circumstances for anyone caught by the wire when passing, and could also seriously injure the culprit should a victim be caught up whilst they are constructing the trap If you see any person/s attempting to build such a trap, or you find one already in place, call the police immediately on 999. If possible, use whatever measures are available - ask nearby householders to assist if able - to close the road to through traffic until it can be checked for other traps. Please be careful that you do not endanger yourself whilst doing so
