Daniel 12:1 tells about the time of the end when Michael will - TopicsExpress

Daniel 12:1 tells about the time of the end when Michael will STAND UP, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time... This chapter also tells us that this will occur IN THE TIME OF THE END; and, it also is about the time of the resurrection as well [Dan. 12:2], which we know is in the hands of Jesus Christ. The phrase STAND UP is used in the Bible to mean that a man becomes a KING and begins ruling or taking action as a King. As proof of this meaning by Daniel, please read Daniel 11:2-4, which tells how there were to STAND UP yet three KINGS in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all...And a mighty king shall STAND UP, that shall rule with great dominion... [Daniel 12:1 quoted above.] By this, we can discern that Michael the archangel would become a KING according to Daniels explanation. And Daniel refers to this taking place IN THE TIME OF THE END. We also have Daniels prophecy in chapter 7:13-14 about the son of man, who turned out to be Jesus Christ, who would be given dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him . . . Also, Luke 1:32 explains that Jesus would be given the throne of David. DOES THIS MEAN 2 KINGS [Michael and Jesus] in the time of the end; or, could they be one and the same king? Why does John 5:25 tell us, . . . THE DEAD SHALL HEAR THE VOICE OF THE Son of God . . .? Yet, we read in 1 Thess. 4:16 that Jesus will descend from heaven, with a shout, WITH THE VOICE OF THE ARCHANGEL . . .? Is this a contradiction? Why the voice of the Archangel, if Jesus is not really him? Wouldnt that be a demotion, if he were not really the archangel, Michael? God GAVE Jesus the authority to raise the dead and judge them and give them life, so it really doesnt seem likely that Jesus passed on this duty to another angel does it? John 5:26-29 @(LW)
