Daniel 9:2-3 : - "I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes..." Daniel used the Word of GOD to understand the will of the LORD for his people and nation, then from there on he went and sought the LORD in (continued)prayer so that he will receive a word from the LORD concerning his nation. And also that he may know what to do for the will of GOD for his nation to come to pass. I feel if nobody had prayed or done something about the will of GOD for Israel, nothing would have happened to their situation. Just like Daniel a team is seeking the LORD concerning the will of GOD for Zimbabwe, concerning the future of the nation, concerning the leaders of the nation, etc.. Prayer is not about skill whether you are good or bad at it ..its about sincerity of hearts connecting with our Amazing GOD. We know the will of GOD for the nations that they might live in peace and prosperity(Isaiah 66:12, Zechariah 9:10), that they seek Him (Psalm 86:9) and that righteousness will exalt the nation and be exalted in the nation and sin be shunned(Proverbs 14:34), that love and respect is upheld in the nation(1 Peter 2:13-17) etc....
