Daniel Sturbridge donates $300.000 to Jamaican primary schools..“It feels great,” he responded when asked about his trip to Old Harbour Bay, with hundreds looking on inside the gazebo at Auntie’s Hot Spot Bar owned by the Sturridge family. “My Grandad is from here, the Sturridge family is from here. This is my roots. So I’m back from where I’m from as such… and I’m happy to be here,” he said. Since his arrival on the island last week, the Liverpool and England striker has made several donations to a number of learning institutions and public health facility. He’s fulfilling a lifelong ambition of giving back to his ancestral home. “We made donations to the Bustamante Children Hospital on Friday, and we making some more donations to schools… but next year is going to be bigger and better. We already looking forward to next year, so we can make bigger donations so we can try and help any community that we can try and help,” said Sturridge, who will return to pre-season training with his club in a week’s time.
