Daniel and the lions ! I was so happy when I read Daniel 6, the chapter where Daniel stay on Gods promises, Gods faith, and Gods faithfulness. You may remember that King Darius, was persuaded to introduce a strict orders: there is ONLY allowed to worship the king for 30 days. Dan 6: 10. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days (this means that he would not submit to the new law ). And the other men, who was outside, stormed in and took Daniel. Little could the king do, said was said and he had to go through the strict orders. The king commanded that Daniel should be thrown in the lion s cave. Then King Darius was deeply grieved and wondered how he could save Daniel. And now comes something amazing. Verse 19 says: Now the king went to his palace and spent the night FASTING; and no musicians were brought before him. Also his sleep went from him. (can you believe that the king was so willing to do anything to save Daniel. Can you believe that the king knew about this powerful weapon) When the king stood up, he was very excited about Daniel was alive or not. And when he came near the cave, he shout out with a sad voice. And Daniel answered: the king live forever. My God sent his angel and shut the lions mouth. (think about what God did for Daniel, and God will for sure do it for us too). Hallelujah for a story, for a testimony of what PRAYER and FASTING can do for us. He who believes he will succeed. So fill your heart with Gods faith, and proclaim the promises. Proclaim what you want to happen in your life, God has done incredible stuff for people before, and He will do it again. But be faithful to God and He will be faithful back. For NOTHING is impossible for God, who created the earth and heaven. He will give you an everlasting love, if you only believe in HIM.
