Danielle Hoffman is still in surgery. The plan was to put 2 small incisions in her right side, place a camera in to find all the fluid pockets, drain them and be done. Their was a chance they might of had to open her side up, well they had to. She had scar tissue from the previous open heart, thats why they had to open her up more. She is doing very well, the nurse from the OR said, but its such a slow and tedious procedure. Hopefully shell be finished soon. Its very hard sitting here alone waiting to hear something. And God love Dan, hes calling my phone every half hour, worried, and then trying to comfort me. I had myself thinking the worst because it was taking so long. I actually had the greeter in the surgical lounge call into the OR to see what was going on. Its so routine for the doctors and nurses doing this stuff but I always think the worst. Thats a trait I passed on to Danielle. Went to the cafeteria to get a pop then went to the restroom and had a good cry. Now Im here updating all of you wonderful people who have been praying for Danielle and supporting us through this bump in her road to recovery. Everyone at ProProcess (where Danielle and I work) have been known to call me an attention whore, well Im passing that title on to Danielle. I guess when she does something she does it big. We love everyone for all the support and prayers!
