Dare to dream Chelsea negotiated a potential slippery banana - TopicsExpress

Dare to dream Chelsea negotiated a potential slippery banana skin by beating Galatasary thus becoming the only English team to have qualified for the quarterfinals of the Champions League pending the outcome of the United and Olympiacos game. After watching yesterdays match you would wonder why it was labelled slippery because it just looked so simple for Chelsea, who dominated from start to finish though the scoreline doesnt tell the full story. It was just like eating Gala; wait a minute not that Chelsea literally ate them. Gala is a snack(sausage roll) made by UAC in Nigeria and a popular one too. So it was sheer coincidence that Galatasary FC shared the short form of its name with a snack eaten by millions of Nigerians. It was easy for me to relate Chelsea beating Gala with actually eating my favourite snack Gala. I wont bore you with details of Lacasera the drink I took with my Gala snack, thus coining the word Galacasera closely sounding like Galatasary if you tried pronouncing it. Anyway the quarter-finals awaits and Ive been thinking if this could be another year of triumph. Yes I know before you say it, Mourinho has played down Chelseas chances but as a fan one can only dare to dream. It is refreshing to hear Chelsea fans ask for Barca or Bayern in the quarter-finals. It goes a long way to show how fortunes have changed since the second coming of the Special One. In my previous articles and arguments I have always opined that our winning the Champions league was as a result of brawn rather than brain, adrenaline charged football, the need for the old guard to prove themselves and a lot of luck(believe me you need luck). This time around it would take more than luck and brawn, luckily Chelsea has Mourinho in charge. If we could win it when we least expected why not win it again when we least expect it. Could progress in the Champions league derail our EPL chances? Its hard to say but its been long I saw Chelsea stay this close in the title hunt. Whatever happens this season wouldnt faze me. Ill hold Jose Mourinho to his word and watch Chelsea hunt for titles next season. Till then Ill take it one game at a time, be favourites for the next game but dream I will of a double, after all if Arsenal fans can dream of winning the FA cup without getting to the finals yet, I can dream of lifting the EPL and Champions League. We know who we are!! Were Chelsea. KTBFFH #Allstar
