Dark Skin Girls, u gone learn Today... wow was watchin a documentary today and Oddly a man asked lil girls pick the doll they felt was the prettiest and they always picked the "Vanilla" Barbie never the Nubian one. then on a chart of 5 pics from light bright almost white (redbone) to dark, lil girl was asked point out which was ugly and the dark would always get picked or picked for bein stupid. Many chocolate sistas said growin up they felt insecure cuz of their darker shade (dont kno y cuz Every since Prince & MJ videos, i Always dug Blackberries ... uhh Red cherries too, lol). One female who had a baby told her dark skin friend she was Glad baby didn come out Dark. Only time Used see the darker shade on tv was as a maid or slave. Massa knew bout that chocolate tho! But i hope parents no matter what color, size or affliction of your child, teach them to love that person in their mirror. This not meant to split hairs but to enlighten cause no matter what others say, Confidence make ya overlook Ignorance!
