Dark times are upon us my friends. In recent weeks we have seen small dogs, puppies, and other urgents die. We have been no kill for smalls and puppies for over a year and its only getting worse. Today despite the best efforts of onsite personnel, placement, and numerous volunteers we are about to lose several mothers that came in with puppies. SAPA has no room for them and ever increasing oversight from ACS is forcing some very difficult decisions. The situation is dire. Every current foster is full. Every boarding facility that takes rescues is full. Every SAPA location is full to the extent that they are allowed and even beyond capacity in some cases. Every local rescue is full, their Fosters are full, many have dogs in boarding as well. Bottom line: there is no room using current resources. We need fresh bodies. We need new Fosters. Most times fostering should be considered a commitment for several months, but even short term Fosters can help! Many of the animals we are saving are being transported or if state and we need folks to house them and help us get them to relevant vet appointments during a 30 to 60 day period and thats it. Please folks if youve ever considered the plight of these furry critters and you want to help now is the time! Stay strong my friends... The future holds many heartaches but we will persevere. We will stand triumphant in our fight for no kill. Until all the kennels are empty... We will fight.
