Darley Stable’s Ballylee entered in Saturday’s Busher Stakes by Ben Baugh Aiken Standard Online Posted: Thursday, January 30, 2014 4:14 p.m. Darley Stable’s homebred Ballylee is the 2/1 morning line favorite for Saturday’s 1 1/16-mile, $100,000 Busher Stakes at Aqueduct. The 3-year-old daughter of Street Cry (IRE) was broken and trained in Aiken by Tim Jones. Tom Albertrani trains the chestnut filly at the racetrack. The filly’s dam won the 2009 United Arab Emirates Oaks and placed third in the 2008 Grade 1 Alcibiades Stakes. Ballylee was a winner in her debut as a juvenile, posting a 3 1/4-length score in a 1 mile and 70 yards maiden special weight race over Aqueduct’s inner track on Dec. 22. Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. gets the return call. Ballylee drew the five hole for Saturday’s race. The filly last worked Jan. 27 at the Belmont Park Training Track, breezing 5-furlongs in 1:01.50.
