SportsWireNews (Paris) Vèlo Poseur removed from start list prior to Tours Grand Départ For the seventh consecutive year, Team Vèlo Poseur has been removed from the start list for this years Tour de France by tour organizers. Citing both financial backing issues and sheer lack of talent, tour officials seriously doubted Team Vèlo Poseur could mount a credible team this year and will once again sit out their nations home Tour and worlds most prestigious bicycle race. A tour official who declined to be named, said flatly Ive looked at the entire teams resume, and double checked all their results for the past year. Their best rider lists getting third in a city limit sprint in February. One other guy finished 7th in a piccolo fondo. Seriously, thats pretty much it. As a last ditch effort to provide needed capital, Poseur brought on Swiss financial services provider Mountebank (AG), but that apparently was not enough to convince officials.
