Darryl Loses Right Arm, Carl is Roasted We’re getting ahead of ourselves here though… back to Rick and the others in the train car – they do escape and take over Terminus, but not without some casualties. First is Darryl – he doesn’t die, but the cannibals cut pieces off of their captives to eat while keeping them alive for a while, and Darryl loses his right arm. It turns out okay though, because he ultimately designs a crossbow that he can cock with his teeth. Carl, however, is not so lucky, as because of his small size he is not cut away at piece by piece but rather cooked whole in some kind of huge roasting room that may have been for cremation previously. We will fade out of episode 2 of Season 5 with a shot of Carl, on a table and roasted golden brown, with an apple in his mouth.
