Dartmoor Challenge 5.... You are all probably now showered, warm and have a nice glass of you favorite tipple in front of you, relaxing and chatting about todays adventures . Here we go then.... first an foremost I would like to thank the people that made this happen: Chris Dwyer; My wing man that I have known for many years, who has always got my back and today was no exception. Thank you. Jenny Malloch who is the diamond in the rough that combines beauty and professionalism like no other woman I have had the privilege of serving with. Thank you Stadd, who epitomizes all the values and standards of a soldier. Discipline, Integrity, Selfless commitment, and loyalty are just a few of the values he has brought to SWMF, added to this his knowledge and professionalism that he showed today was outstanding, making the right call at the right time was perfect. Simon Hebson, the man that I have relied on so many times and has never failed to be there, his commitment to SWMF today was, as always, perfect, adapting to every situation at the last minute which is his specialty, and today was no exception, as he covered a check at short notice and shadowed the last team in as the weather deteriorated. Thank you. Aaron Green, not only came to Dartmoor but also gave an outstanding training session at Escot, he has the energy & enthusiasm that most soldiers only dream of, and brings this to SWMF, today was no exception. Thank you. Finally YOU, the members of SWMF! Today you achieved so much more than you probably expected. Up early, Travel to Dartmoor, Get briefed, then sent over what can only be described as one of the most beautiful but unforgiving terrains in the SW, and complete a 13 mile navigation exercise with very little experience. This challenge was without question one of the hardest that SWMF has organised to date, and everyone of you did magnificently, there are far to many tales to mention for this event so I will leave it up to you guys to comment but what I will leave you with is this........ Be the best you can Thank you Pete & Nay Enough of that now its time for the Christmas Party...
