Dasu Hydropower Project Dasu Hydropower Dam is a run off the river project with a generating capacity of 4320 MW. The project is committed to be funded by the World Bank. It would be constructed along River Indus, the backbone of Pakistan economy and supply water to the largest irrigation network of the world, to meet food and fiber requirement of 180 million population which is growing at the rate 3.5 per annum. It would generate electric energy 21300 GWh per annum. The gross storage capacity of the reservoir generated by Dassu Dam is 1.15 MAF while useable capacity is 0.67 MAF.
